Amanda Evans
Amanda Evans was born and raised in Florida. She lived in Jacksonville until she was adopted at age five and then moved to Leesburg. Amanda was 11 when she was saved and felt called to missions at age 12, though she battled with fear, because of her tendency to be shy.
Amanda went on her first mission trip at age 13 to West Virginia with her youth group to help repair homes and minister to families after mudslides had left homes in destruction. She went on many trips to Mexico with her family. She also went to Brazil on a mission trip with her family at age 16.
Amanda first heard about Teen Missions from her brother who went on a team in 1998. In 2003 she went with Teen Missions on a trip to Cuba and then to India in 2004. In the fall of 2006, she went to the BIBLE, MISSIONARY & WORK (BMW) Training Center. She went to Indiana in 2007 and Malawi in 2008, where she did her internship. One of the main things Amanda learned from BMW was that God can use you no matter what and that anything you do or have is Him working through you; there is nothing you can do on your own. She led a Preteen team in 2009 and joined staff in May of 2010. Amanda served at our Canada office from October 2013 – February 2014; she is currently serving in Florida in the Mailroom.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Hebrews 13:5-6
