Liam Butler

Liam was born in Yonkers, New York, just a stone's throw from the Bronx, before moving to Ohio, where he spent most of his life. Teen Missions has always been a big part of his family—Liam’s parents were involved in teams back in the '80s and '90s. His own journey began in 2016 when he went along as a leader's kid. It was such an eye-opening experience that showed him the incredible needs in the world he had never known before.

In 2019, Liam had the amazing opportunity to travel to Kenya with his own team. That trip really sparked something in him, and he felt the Lord nudging him towards ministry. Then, in 2022, while in India, he felt a strong call to dedicate himself to full-time missions. He spent the next year figuring out what that would look like, and it led him to the wonderful Sojourner School of Ministry. It's been a fantastic journey, helping him grow closer to the Lord and truly experience His presence in Liam’s life. In the fall of 2025 Liam is planning on serving in Asia for four months and then traveling to Africa before returning to hopefully help with a 2026 summer team.
