Joel & Emma Tauscher Newsletter (Fall 2024)
Hi Friends and Family,
Another Life-Changing Team
Our team to the Philippines was truly incredible. We had 18 teenagers and two back-up leaders making up our team. Our team worked hard through Boot Camp and bonded as a team quickly.
If I put a theme to our summer, I would say it was seeing God’s faithfulness. Joel worked with one of our other leaders, John, on directing the team during their project. The team worked incredibly hard to pour a concrete driveway and paint a building. The staff at our base were so grateful for the driveway. It will make their lives a lot easier in the rainy season, as the base is at the top of a huge hill, and it would be quite muddy and slippery without the new concrete driveway.
Our team also got to do a lot of ministry with the kids. They traveled throughout the area around Butuan City doing children’s programs. The team loved sharing the Gospel and impacting these kids’ lives.
As leaders, God always grows us and stretches us out of our comfort zone. For Joel that was the many last-minute public speaking opportunities that came his way. For me, it was decisions made regarding the health of our team.
But in all those situations, we were so blessed to continually feel and see the outcome of people praying for us. So many times while we were gone we would experience a situation that only got resolved because of God answering the prayers of His people. Partnership Development Trip
After our team was over, Joel and I started on a 6,000 mile road trip to meet with our ministry partners. It was such a huge blessing to connect with people, share our mission and vision, and watch God work as He brought us together with faithful ministry partners, as well as new ones. We are so incredibly blessed—and we felt it at a high level on our trip.
Altogether we drove through 13 states (not to mention driving across Iowa four separate times). We were so blessed by the warm welcome we got from each house we stayed at.
Back In Florida
After being gone for about three months, we’re finally home! Yay!
We are quickly getting back into the business of work despite only being home for the last week. Teen Missions has recently started a huge new campaign to raise money for the Zambia Hunger Crisis. This project has really touched my heart, and it’s been a blessing to be a part of helping so many people in Zambia. Besides that big push, I am working on marketing for summer of 2025.
Joel has jumped back into his role of maintaining the property. He’s also been working on potential landscaping projects with some of his coworkers. Every afternoon he’s working alongside the Bible school students. What a blessing for him to pour into their lives as they all serve together.
Thank you
Thank you so much for your continued prayers and partnership. What a blessing it is to have a team of people partnering with us as we serve. Thank you so much for being part of what God is doing.
We are so grateful for our partnership team who prays for us and partners with us financially each month. Right now we are at 63% of our monthly goal. If you would be interested in knowing more about partnering with us, we would love to have a zoom call or coffee with you and share our heart!
Prayer Requests:
- For us to be filled with the Holy Spirit and that we would be growing in our relationship with Christ
- For Joel’s back to continue to get better
- For opportunities to share the Gospel in our day-to-day lives
