Robert & Dorah Yoder Newsletter (Fall 2024)
Dear Family and Friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. What a great joy to be serving our risen Savior. We praise God for His love and mercy that endures forever. We would like to take this time to thank you for your prayer and financial support. We pray that God would step into your situations and that He would put a smile on your face.
We had a busy summer serving as summer staff during Boot Camp. We saw the Lord work in the lives of leaders and team members and enjoyed the rallies, praise and worship, and the preaching of the Word. This year Teen Missions sent out 12 teen teams and one preteen team to 13 different countries where they did evangelism and helped in different ministries and projects, and we thank God for using them to help spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
For our summer, we were part of the “Launch Team”. Our team was made up of staff members, students and interns. We helped keep things running smoothly during Boot Camp. In the morning, Robert got to be a judge on Jacob’s Ladder on the Obstacle Course which he enjoyed. During the day he was involved with doing a lot of maintenance and some construction as a few of the sidewalks needed fixing. In the afternoons, I had the privilege of babysitting our children and some of the staff children. What a blessing! Robert also had the privilege of helping to drive the buses to transport the preteens and teens to the airport. Once everyone left for their projects, things got quiet around the base, but we stayed busy with cutting trees and mowing grass. We also helped with two retreats that came to use the property while the teams were on projects. We want to thank God for the opportunity to serve here at Teen Missions Florida Office. We are learning a lot and growing in our walk with God.
Lastly, as a family we are doing well by the grace of God. We are continuing with homeschooling our children who are now 14, 11, and 7. They are a blessing to us and we enjoy pointing them to Jesus. Esther and Ethan are both praying about going on their first American teams. When you think of them, please pray that they would follow God’s lead. Pray also for me as I am busy with teaching the children at home and still learning the homeschool curriculum but doing fine. I am also working at the base two times a week with the conference center and/or in the office helping out where needed. We thank God for the provision of Dorah’s Green Card.
Prayer Request:
- Homeschooling—for grace and understanding
- Wisdom and protection
- Salvation in our extended family
- God’s will for our lives to be done as we serve the Lord
