Steve & Gay Petersen Newsletter (Fall 2024)
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Dear Friends and Family,
SUMMER REPORT
Our summer teams returned with joy much like the 70 disciples Jesus sent out in the gospel of Luke. We saw answered prayers all along the way. Five made decisions for Christ at Boot Camp and we saw three more teen teams go out in 2024 than the year before. To God be the glory! Please take time to visit our team reports page for lots of great testimonies from this summer. Our Teen Missions Youtube channel has the daily 2024 Boot Camp videos and rallies. The TMI Facebook page has photo galleries from this past summer. Enjoy!
Gay & I had the privilege of visiting Teen Missions bases in Madagascar, Uganda and South Africa. We conducted strategic meetings with the country leaders and encouraged the staff and students. What a joy to see what God is doing to impact the next generation of national youth in these countries.
WHAT’S HAPPENING HERE
New staff have arrived for which we are SO thankful. We also welcomed eight new Sojourner students this term. Praise the Lord! Our staff just concluded our annual Staff Retreat. We debriefed our summer operations and looked at ways to improve our program moving forward. We are now finalizing our 2025 summer trip listing and have begun receiving applications. Property renovations are moving forward with the completion of both Adam & Eve dormitories and the new main office bathrooms. Renovations are now underway in the downstairs offices next to the display room.
PETERSEN FAMILY UPDATE
Timothy and Ellie were married on August 10th in a beautiful outdoor ceremony by the lake at Teen Missions. What a joy to celebrate this event with family and friends from around the country. God is SO good! Welcome Ellie to the Petersen family! Timothy continues to serve in the US Teams Department and Ellie has begun to coordinate our volunteer program within the HR Department.
Faith has just begun her second year at Sojourner School of Ministry. She was asked to be one of the RA’s, so has some added responsibilities. She enjoys learning more about the Bible and spending time with her fellow classmates.
I am teaching the Gospels this term at Sojourner, and Gay continues to serve the needs of our TMI staff in Human Resources.
