Timothy Petersen Newsletter (Fall 2024)

Greetings from the Petersens! 

We hope this letter finds you well and blessed. Our prayer is that God is working in your life in a profound way as you continue to serve and pursue Him. It is a fun ride and we feel so fortunate to know a God that loves and cares for us so deeply and intimately. As I (Timothy) write this letter to you, I reflect on the Lord’s continual faithfulness and how He cares for His kids. This theme of faithfulness has been in mine and Ellie’s hearts over the last month as we started married life together. On August 10th, 2024 we saw God’s hand on a day we will remember as His day. God truly set everything as it should have been. He has been there for us every step of the way through our engagement, wedding, and now life in ministry. We serve a Holy God. 

The Summer 

The Lord worked in many ways this summer as Ellie led a mission trip with her college to Honduras. The team enjoyed ministering at the Teen Missions Honduras base in Santa Cruz doing various projects and evangelism outreaches. It was fun to be able to bring Ellie’s world of college and Teen Missions together to partner. Ellie was able to bring the two areas of her life together in large part to her being the Missions Coordinator for the school. While Ellie was out on her trip and planning for the wedding, I had the privilege to lead 18 teens on the Malawi team. We had a blast serving at the Lord’s Boot Camp before heading to Malawi to assist in constructing a pavilion for a nearby Sunday School that Teen Missions runs. It is always amazing to see God work in the lives of young people to accomplish something for the Kingdom.

What’s happening now? 

We are now getting settled into home life again which is very nice after being on the road for the past two and a half months. Ellie is doing well in her new role at Teen Missions Headquarters. She serves in our HR department while I continue to serve in our US Teams department. Ellie is super excited to learn all the things that come with being on staff at TMI and is really enjoying being a part of the TMI Staff family. In October Ellie will, Lord willing, be heading to Portland to promote TMI at a youth missions conference called Ignite. She will be going with a fellow staff lady for about a week. Please pray for them as they travel and promote the ministry.

The Lord has blessed us with 70% of our monthly goal for financial partners. We give God all the praise for bringing in the prayers and finances so that we may be in this work. We need $3,500 of monthly support for us to meet our budget as a couple. Please join us in prayer as we watch God work and bring in the remaining partners!!
