Robbie and Jen Edalgo

Robbie and Jen Edalgo met at the University of Georgia’s Wildlife & Forest Resources School and married in 2002. After completing grad school, they began serving as youth leaders in Central United Methodist Church in 2004. Robbie went on later to earn his Masters in Ministry from Trinity Baptist Seminary in Jacksonville, Florida. He was also ordained in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and served as an assistant pastor. This is where he learned a great lesson: Always give to missions and when you do, the Lord will take care of everything else.

Jen began homeschooling their children and in 2013 Robbie accepted a lead pastor position for the First Alliance Church in Jacksonville. In 2015, the Lord told the family to start a multi-ethnic church plant from their home in Cordele, GA. This began an eight-year church plant called Cross Culture Church (non-denominational). In addition to his pastor responsibilities, Robbie was also employed as a GED instructor for a technical college.

In 2021, Jen met a SIM missionary couple. The wife had gone on a Teen Missions team in the 1970’s. Jen went home and looked up their website. They then began sending their kids on TMI teams. 

In Nov 2023, Jen was jogging and heard the Lord tell her to, “Prepare to move.” Robbie had also been seeking the Lord for His direction and knew that God was calling their family to something…but what? Their family began a season of prayer and fasting thinking that God might be calling them to a BIG move—like FULL-TIME missionaries with Teen Missions. Robbie and Jen attended the First Step Seminar in March 2024 at the base in Merritt Island, FL. God’s peace that this was the direction He wanted them to pursue washed over them, even their kids. They felt such peace in His hands and His plan for them, even when there were many unknowns!
